Synopsis

Ravaged by water wars, famine, and drought, the West is once again wild, and peace is but a thing of the past. Children are rare. Water is scarce. Life hinges on a delicate balance. To escape a manslaughter prison sentence and win her freedom from a brutal gang of outlaws, a woman named Key must gain access to a Native American reservation that houses the region’s last freshwater aquifer — which is protected by a complex and deadly minefield. One wrong step could spell disaster.
