Synopsis
As Eyal finishes the traditional Jewish week of mourning for his late son, his wife Vicky urges him to return to their routine--but just because the shiva has ended doesn’t mean it’s life as usual. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion opened on top of the theater average chart with $24,712 in just over 400 theaters. It goes without saying that there will be another installment in this franchise; although I hear it won’t follow the same characters. The only other film in the $10,000 club was How to Be a Latin Lover, which earned an average of $10,959 in 1,118 theaters. Obit was relatively close to the $10,000 mark with an average of $8,093 in two theaters over the weekend; however, it was a Wednesday release earning an average of $17,604 over the five days.

It is not a good week for limited releases. Only two of the films on this week’s list are earning any level of buzz, Below Her Mouth and Rupture. However, both are earning bad reviews and are playing on VOD, so their box office chances are nearly zero. There are a couple of documentaries earning 100% positive reviews at the moment, Bang! The Bert Berns Story and Harold and Lilian: A Hollywood Love Story. If you like roc ‘n’ roll, check out the former. If you are a cinephile or if you are a regular on this site, then check out the latter.
