Synopsis

Billy Bob Thornton stars as Darl, a sheriff in a small Louisiana town that is rocked by the murder of a mysterious woman. During his reluctant investigation he encounters Scarlet, a beautiful New Orleans stripper, and a friend of the deceased. Darl's ill prepared to deal with the sexual underworld Scarlet exposes him to, a world he previously held in contempt. Although Scarlet is leery of trusting such a narrow minded individual, they find themselves pitted against a corrupt legal system. Together they uncover a chilling conspiracy and must trust each other or end up dead! - Gold Circle Films
