Reactions:
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King earned 11 nominations, and I expect it to win the majority of those awards.
Cold Mountain received 7 nominations, which is still very high given its
At only 13, Keisha Castle-Hughes became the youngest woman to be nominated for Best Actress for her work in Whale Rider.
Again, Paul Giamatti's work in American Splendor was ignored. At least the screenplay was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Matrix backlash continues as the two final films of the trilogy were shut out from the technical categories.
It was a bad week for Scarlett Johansson. First she lost both her Golden Globe nominations, then she was shut out from the Oscars completely.
