IMAX - Panda Softer Than Expected

Kung Fu Panda's opening weekend box office was big, but no bigger than on IMAX where it earned $2.3 million on 95 screens (89 screens domestically and 6 internationally). This is actually weaker than expected, but assuming the movie shows some serious legs, which most IMAX films do, it should still be a success for the format. Next up for IMAX is The Dark Knight starting July 18th.
