Synopsis

The story of six Burrneshas who take on the role of men in order to circumvent patriarchal structures, escape assault, avoid forced marriages or be free. They give us intimate insights into their life choices and talk about freedom, oppression and the desire to decide for themselves how they live. Their stories break down gender stereotypes and show that life as a woman is still considered less valuable around the world.
